Jewelry Care & Warranty
Care Instructions
Preserve the jewelry’s shine and prevent tarnishing
We all want to buy beautiful, long-lasting jewelry without breaking the bank. The fact of the matter is that all gold/silver plated jewelry is susceptible to tarnishing over time.
As time goes by, your jewellery inevitably encounters various oils, acids, air and moisture, initiating a chemical reaction with the metal. This reaction gradually leads to the wearing down of Rhodium or 18K gold plating and ultimately results in the tarnishing of your cherished pieces.
There are many factors that can lead to your items tarnishing, from the acidity in your skin to the air around you. Even though we can’t control these factors there are some simple tips to avoid tarnishing and help extend the life of your jewelry:
Avoid exposure to any chemicals or strong products, such as perfume and cosmetic products.
Remove your jewelry when bathing or swimming. Avoid contact with chlorine, sand and saltwater. Under no circumstances should you keep your jewelry in a bathroom or any humid locations.
Take them off before doing any exercise or physical activity to keep them away from extra knocks and sweat.
Do not wear them while sleeping to avoid accidental damage.
Store them in a clean, dry and cool place. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
Clean when needed
A polishing cloth is a great tool to make your jewelry shine again, in the event that it becomes darkened over time. However, this technique will not remove any scratches or dents present on the jewelry.
Avoid using ‘dip’ polish or abrasive jewelry cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals and can destroy your jewelry over time.
